The Assistant Director of School Climate & Standards is a leadership position within the North Carolina Center for Safer Schools (CFSS). CFSS serves as the state’s primary resource for school safety research, training, and technical assistance to prevent and respond to school violence. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position provides strategic oversight of statewide initiatives focused on improving school climate, strengthening behavioral health systems, and promoting safe learning environments. The Assistant Director supervises program staff, manages high-impact school safety initiatives, and collaborates with public school units, state agencies, and community partners.
