About The Position

Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Assistant Director of Research Integrity for the Office for Research. The Office for Research’s mission is to support the research, scholarship, and creative endeavors of all Rutgers faculty. The Office accomplishes its mission by convening with academic and research leaders, providing integrated, user-focused resources, services, and tools, and partnering with faculty. As part of the Office for Research, this position will serve as a leader and manage day-to-day operations of the conflict-of-interest program, research misconduct cases and regulatory affairs. The Assistant Director Research Integrity will be responsible for coordinating university-wide policies and procedures to ensure Rutgers research complies with all research conduct laws and regulations. Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in the sciences or a terminal degree (MS, MPH ) in a closely related field.
  • Experience in leading research misconduct investigations and development of regulatory policy.

Responsibilities

  • Provides staff support for preliminary assessments, inquiries, and investigations of allegations of research misconduct.
  • Coordinates meetings of inquiry committees and investigative panels.
  • Coordinates forensic analyses and provide for confidential record retention when required.
  • Keeps current with federal and local regulations.
  • Communicates to the University community about policies regarding research misconduct.
  • Provides support in training and compliance in research responsible conduct of research.
