About The Position

Southeastern Louisiana University's Office of Admissions invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Recruitment. This position reports to the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Communications and is responsible for leading and managing the team of Admissions Counselors to create goals and objectives related to recruitment initiatives. The Assistant Director of Recruitment collaborates with campus constituents to develop priorities, timelines, and procedures for projects related to the Southeastern Dual Enrollment Program, the Connect to Success Programs with Northshore Technical Community College, and current and developing freshmen success initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• Experience in higher education
• Must possess a valid Louisiana driver's license
• Ability to successfully complete the Southeastern Driver Safety Course

Nice To Haves

• Demonstrated experience in Slate, Workday and PeopleSoft student information systems.
• Experience in higher education student recruiting, admissions, and/or registrar environments.

Responsibilities

• Leading and managing the team of Admissions Counselors to create goals and objectives related to recruitment initiatives.
• Collaborating with campus constituents to develop priorities, timelines, and procedures for projects related to the Southeastern Dual Enrollment Program, the Connect to Success Programs with Northshore Technical Community College, and current and developing freshmen success initiatives.
• Maintaining an understanding of and assuring adherence to NCAA, Southland Conference, and Institutional rules and Louisiana Board of Supervisors regulations.
• Adapting to changing technology and applying technological solutions to business processes.
• Effectively communicating with a wide variety of higher education constituents including internal and external clients.
• Working with diversity.
