About The Position

The Assistant Director of Partnerships (ADP) is a crucial industry-facing role within the College of Emerging and Collaborative Studies (CECS) at UTK. This position is responsible for managing assigned external partnerships and implementing initiatives related to workforce development, experiential learning, and strategic engagement. The ADP reports to the Assistant Dean of Partnerships and Economic Development (ADPED) and manages relationships, projects, and engagement activities aligned with the strategic priorities set by College leadership. The role involves serving as a primary point of contact for industry and workforce partners, maintaining productive relationships, identifying opportunities for growth, coordinating partnership activities among stakeholders, and ensuring effective execution. The Assistant Director works closely with the Assistant Dean to advance the College's partnership and economic development goals, using professional judgment to manage daily partner interactions, address implementation needs, and suggest areas for further development.
