About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing supports the Director of Nursing in staffing, developing facility policies, and directing the overall operations of the nursing department in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and policies. The role includes effectively managing resources to meet resident care needs and maintain quality levels of care. The Assistant Director of Nursing maintains 24-hour accountability for nursing care delivered by personnel assigned to the department.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse currently licensed in Massachusetts.
• At least five years of nursing experience, including at least one year in a supervisory or mentoring capacity.
• Massachusetts RN License.
• CPR Certification.
• Must pass all required background checks.
• Familiarity with MDS nursing documentation requirements.

Nice To Haves

• CDC Infection Control Preventionist Certificate.
