About The Position

Arden Park Post Acute is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team! We are looking for a nursing professional who is passionate about providing exceptional resident care, supporting nursing staff, and maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. As our ADON, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee daily nursing operations, promote resident safety, support staff development, and ensure compliance with applicable healthcare regulations. Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the California Board of Registered Nursing.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • 3–5 years of nursing management experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care facility.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to supervise nursing personnel, manage clinical operations, and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to maintain required continuing education and professional licensing requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Experience with PCC (PointClickCare) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the DON in planning, developing, and supervising daily nursing operations and nursing staff.
  • Support the recruitment, hiring, orientation, training, and professional development of nursing personnel.
  • Assist with employee performance management, staff concerns, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Oversee clinical operations, including monitoring resident conditions, conducting rounds, and ensuring the delivery of quality nursing care.
  • Promote resident safety, dignity, and respect while ensuring residents receive appropriate care.
  • Collaborate with residents, family members, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and evaluating nursing policies, procedures, and clinical practices.
  • Conduct staff meetings and ongoing nursing in-services to support professional development and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor nursing practices to ensure compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Provide direct resident care and serve as backup for the DON and nursing staff when necessary.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and employee information.
  • Support the DON in identifying opportunities for improvement and maintaining a positive, professional nursing environment.
