About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) at NHC HealthCare Lexington is a Registered Nurse role focused on patient care within a family-oriented atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management, superior organization skills, be an exceptional communicator, and have an understanding of Long-Term Care regulations. This role involves maintaining a safe environment for residents and employees, monitoring treatments and medications, and ensuring knowledge of patient status through daily rounds. The ADON will plan and direct nursing services within an interdisciplinary team and communicate effectively with the healthcare community, patients, and families.

Requirements

South Carolina Registered Nurse (RN) license
Superior communication skills & be an effective leader
Must be flexible, caring, compassionate, and a team player

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in LTC/ SNF preferred
Understanding of Long-Term Care regulations

Responsibilities

Monitors to see that treatments and medications are administered as ordered
Maintains a system to insure knowledge of patient status (such as: makes daily rounds of all patients)
Ability to plan and direct nursing service in an interdisciplinary team environment
Ability to communicate effectively with the medical/health care community, patients and families
