About The Position

Benchmark Senior Living is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor to manage the successful operation of the Resident Care Department within a senior living community, under the leadership of the Resident Care Director. The role provides direct oversight, coaching, and supervision of resident care service providers, along with on-floor nursing support for residents and interaction with family members. The incumbent conducts internal and external assessments and is available for on-call duties as needed. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, with minimal on-call requirements.

Requirements

• Be a Registered Nurse, in accordance with state regulations.
• Have at least 1 year of RN experience in Assisted Living, Home Care, or Hospice.
• Have 2 years of RN experience in a care setting.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds individually.
• Be able to stand for prolonged periods.
• Be able to take on-call duties as identified by the community.

Nice To Haves

• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Certification in Gerontology through the American Nurses Credentialing Association.
• Knowledge of dementia care.

Responsibilities

• Manage the successful operation of the Resident Care Department under the leadership of the Resident Care Director.
• Provide direct oversight, coaching, and supervision of resident care service providers.
• Provide on-floor nursing support to residents and interact with family members.
• Conduct internal and external assessments.
• Be available for on-call duties as needed.
• Communicate with residents’ families and friends.
• Ensure compliance with resident-care regulations, including medication management.
• Document and maintain accurate records as appropriate.
• Demonstrate personal and resident safety methods and procedures.
