About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing assists the Director of Nursing (DON) in evaluating associate performance, providing feedback, coaching, redirecting, and providing discipline as needed. They also assume responsibilities in the absence of the DON or as requested. Requirements

Must hold a current, valid RN license or temporary RN license, or hold a compact RN license. Must maintain valid licensure to practice as a RN.
Must be knowledgeable of nursing/medical practices and procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and the guidelines that pertain to SNF/Rehab Care.
Minimum of one (1) year nursing leadership experience.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one (1) year experience in Critical Care or SNF.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and maintaining nursing objectives, standards of nursing practice, nursing policy and procedures, and methods for coordination of nursing services with other guest services.
Coordinate clinical programs as assigned (e.g., Staff Development Program, Infection Control Program, etc.) and maintain all tracking and reporting systems for the programs.
