Assistant Director of Nursing - Walter B. Jones Center
About The Position
The primary purpose of the Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) for Lakeside Psychiatric Hospital is to administratively and clinically supervise Walter B. Jones Center (WBJ) Division of Nursing Services and the assigned staff. This position is delegated with significant managerial or programmatic responsibility that is essential to the success of operations. The ADON is responsible for maintaining the quality and adequacy of nursing practices, coordinating nursing and training programs, and assisting in solving professional, administrative and supervisory problems in the assigned area.
Requirements
- Knowledge of management and supervisory methods, practices and procedures.
- Ability to independently implement the nursing process (assess, plan, implement and evaluate) to meet patient needs.
- Ability to plan, organize and supervise the work of healthcare staff.
- Ability to evaluate the quality of nursing services delivered and to institute methods of improving or maintaining established standards of nursing care.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina and three years of nursing experience, including one year of experience in a Nurse Supervisor capacity.
