About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) plays a vital leadership role by supporting the Director of Nursing Services in planning, organizing, and directing all day‑to‑day nursing functions. This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations while upholding the highest standards of resident care. The ADON collaborates with the Administrator, Medical Director, and Director of Nursing to maintain clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and a positive care environment.

Requirements

• Current Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Graduate of an accredited RN or BSN program
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a long‑term care or related healthcare setting

Nice To Haves

• Prior long‑term care experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading and supervising all nursing department operations
• Support ongoing compliance with state, federal, and local standards
• Help develop and implement resident care plans and policies
• Provide leadership, coaching, and training to nursing staff
• Participate in quality assurance, audits, and performance improvement initiatives
