About The Position

Hamilton Grove, part of Greencroft Communities, is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to help lead its nursing team and provide exceptional, resident-centered care. The ADON partners with the Director of Nursing to support daily nursing operations, mentor team members, maintain quality standards, and foster an environment where residents and caregivers feel valued and supported. This leadership role is suited to an RN or LPN who is passionate about senior care, enjoys developing others, and is ready to grow their leadership skills. The ADON helps shape the resident experience, strengthen the nursing team, and contribute to a community guided by Creativity, Respect, Openness, Fairness, and Teamwork.

Requirements

Current, active Indiana RN or LPN license.
Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and support a collaborative team environment.
A genuine passion for caring for older adults.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in long-term care or a retirement community.
Previous supervisory or nursing leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing operations and resident care.
Help ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and quality standards.
Lead, support, train, and develop nursing team members, including CNAs and QMAs.
Assist with hiring, performance management, coaching, and team development.
Promote teamwork and collaboration across departments.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, committees, and nursing budget planning.
Help ensure residents receive safe, compassionate care that supports their dignity and quality of life.
Provide leadership coverage and assume Director of Nursing responsibilities when needed.
