The ADON Nurse facilitates, mentors, organizes, and implements the performance improvement, continuous quality improvement, and quality assurance programs in the facility in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards. Monitors and oversees the Staff Development program for the facility. Must have Infection Preventionist (IP) Certification. Must be knowledgeable of QAPI (Quality Assurance Performance Improvement) practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in a post-acute care/Long Term Care facility. Must be able to set expectations, develop plans, and manage processes to measure, assess, and improve the quality of the facility's governance, management, clinical, and support activities. Must be able to analyze incident reports to categorize and determine identified problem areas of patient care and develop plans of correction. Must be able to review internal facility Quality Indicator Reports with the facility's Standards of Care Committee. Position Summary The RN - Assistant Director of Nursing assists the Director of Nursing (DON) in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Services department to ensure the highest degree of quality patient care in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
