About The Position

The Assistant Director of Nursing Services assumes delegated responsibility and accountability for providing resident care in accordance with professional nursing standards. In coordination with the Director of Nursing Services, the role develops, communicates, and maintains nursing policies and procedures reflecting current clinical practice, professional standards, the company and facility philosophy of care, and applicable federal and state laws and corporate policies.

The position also serves as Infection Preventionist, implementing measures to protect residents and staff. It assesses staff education needs, coordinates programs based on those needs, and helps ensure state and federal compliance. The role calls for leadership, clinical knowledge, staff coaching and mentoring, effective communication with staff, residents, and families, and a supportive presence for residents.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Indiana RN license or ability to obtain an Indiana license.
• Demonstrated C.A.R.E. values: Compassion, Accountability, Relationships, and Excellence.
• Leadership ability and desire to inspire and motivate clinical staff.
• Solid nursing knowledge and skills, with attention to company, federal, and state standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, residents, and residents’ families.

Responsibilities
