About The Position

Allegro Winter Park is seeking an experienced LPN to join our clinical leadership team as Assistant Resident Care Director (ARCD). This is your opportunity to grow into nursing leadership in a beautiful Assisted Living community — mentoring caregivers, supporting resident wellness, and making a meaningful impact without the chaos of hospitals or SNFs. The responsibility of the Assistant Resident Care Director (ARCD) is to support the Resident Care Director (RCD) in the supervision of Assisted Living Services by providing for the residents needs. The role also will assist the RCD in overseeing all phases of the operations of the Assisted Living Department including general administration and physical maintenance. The ARCD must always be aware that maintaining excellent service, quality care, high occupancy, effective communications, and high resident satisfaction are the overarching goals of the Company and the Community.

Requirements

  • Active Florida LPN license — required
  • CPR/AED certification — required
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Licensed RN or LPN in good standing with the State Licensing Agency where the community is located.
  • CPR/AED certification is required.
  • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • The Community is a drug free workplace.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience — preferred
  • Assisted Living, Long-Term Care, or geriatric experience — preferred
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for leading teams and serving seniors
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in Geriatric, Long Term Care, or Assisted Living with Assisted Living Training preferred.
  • One (1) year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with computerized resident documentation systems a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Resident Care Director in overseeing daily clinical operations
  • Coach, mentor, and develop caregiving staff to deliver exceptional resident-centered care
  • Oversee resident service plans and ensure individualized care needs are met
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and physicians to ensure outstanding outcomes
  • Participate in rotating weekend coverage as part of the leadership team
  • Promote a safe environment for all residents, visitors, and associates of the Community through vigilance regarding infection control and life safety.
  • Work with Care Staff to create Resident Service Plans.
  • Assist the Sales & Marketing Department to assess prospects and new residents as directed by the RSD.
  • Work closely and maintain daily communications with the RSD in administrating and managing the Department, to promote continuity of care and maintenance of services for the residents.
  • Maintain Department compliance with the operating budget through use of purchase order system and budget control procedures (including appropriate prior authorization on capital expenditure purchases).
  • Supervise the Care Staff in giving day to day care to the residents (i.e., bathing assistance, health monitoring, etc.).
  • Assist with resident care activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.
