Provide leadership in the implementation of Mental Health (MH) processes, including support of in-school mental health staff (social workers, psychologists, interns, and other qualified MH staffing who support students in 65+ schools). Provide leadership in maintaining a collaborative relationship with the entire MH department, including MH supports in special education. Provide assistance to the Mental Health Director, and on-site assistance to building administrators, district departments, and staff in effectively implementing the variety of MH programs, including Crisis Intervention and Support, Tier II, Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS), and Restorative Justice. Assist the MH Director in providing expertise, vision, and leadership to MH partners, contract providers, and staff. Recruit, hire, evaluate, retain, and supervise MH staff. Supervise and monitor effective instructional practices and develop professional development trainings and opportunities for MH department staff members. Implement all local, state, and federal statutes, rules, policies, and administrative directions pertaining to mental health practice in schools.
