Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a maintenance or facilities environment.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical system manuals and blueprints.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems.
Plumbing maintenance and repair experience.
Knowledge of low-voltage control systems and equipment.
Experience repairing commercial kitchen appliances, washers, and dryers.
General building maintenance, including wall and floor repair.
Leadership or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Assist the Maintenance Director with the daily operation of the Maintenance Department.
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility systems and equipment.
Maintain and repair HVAC, plumbing, and other building systems.
Troubleshoot and repair commercial kitchen and laundry equipment.
Ensure medical equipment, including oxygen concentrators and vital signs machines, is operational and available for nursing staff.
Complete general building maintenance, including wall, floor, and facility repairs.
Respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Director.
Assist with the supervision, coordination, and development of maintenance personnel.
Provide direction to maintenance staff in the absence of the Maintenance Director.
Promote a safe, productive, and team-oriented work environment.
