About The Position

Xavier University is seeking a collaborative, relationship-driven, and student-centered Assistant Director of Graduate Recruitment & Admissions to join the Graduate Recruitment & Admissions team. This role presents an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys connecting with prospective students, building relationships, and helping students take the next step toward achieving their personal and professional goals. The Assistant Director of Graduate Recruitment & Admissions plays a vital role in advancing this mission by engaging prospective graduate students, supporting recruitment efforts for assigned programs, and creating a welcoming and supportive enrollment experience. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage recruitment activities for assigned graduate programs, build meaningful relationships with prospective students and campus partners, support graduate enrollment growth, and help students discover the value of a Xavier graduate education.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, enrollment management, higher education, sales, marketing support, or a related field.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to engage prospective students and provide a supportive, student-centered experience.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and working collaboratively across teams.
  • Ability to travel and participate in occasional evening or weekend recruitment activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CRM systems and enrollment technologies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage recruitment efforts for assigned graduate programs by engaging prospective students, supporting enrollment pipelines, and contributing to achievement of graduate enrollment goals.
  • Build relationships with prospective students through personalized outreach, recruitment appointments, events, presentations, and ongoing communication throughout the enrollment journey.
  • Partner with faculty, program directors, and university stakeholders to understand program value, support recruitment priorities, and create a seamless prospective student experience.
  • Use CRM systems, enrollment data, and recruitment insights to track student engagement, support application conversion, and identify opportunities to improve recruitment outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Graduate Recruitment & Admissions team members and campus partners to support recruitment initiatives, events, and continuous improvement efforts.
