About The Position

This role focuses on supporting the fraternity and sorority life community, requiring a Bachelor's degree and at least one year of experience in student affairs. The position involves supervising student staff, applying knowledge of student development and fraternity/sorority best practices, and fostering the holistic development of diverse student populations. Strong interpersonal, communication, and computer skills are essential for effective collaboration and management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • At least one year of related experience in student affairs.
  • Ability to effectively supervise graduate and undergraduate student staff.
  • Knowledge of student development/leadership theories, as well as fraternity and sorority life, and current best practices, and the ability to apply them appropriately.
  • A demonstrated commitment to the holistic development of diverse student populations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, written and oral communication/presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and ethically with a diverse population of students, University faculty/administrators, and community members.
  • Demonstrate outstanding computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Professional experience with social media platforms, desktop publishing and web content management system software.
  • Ability to learn new software as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., student affairs, education, counseling) preferred.
  • Professional experience with Banner, Access, and Engage.
