About The Position

Skilled Nursing Facility has an opportunity for an experienced Assistant Director of Environmental Services. Our Assistant Director of Environmental Services must possess the following: must have experience in maintenance/engineering & exp. in a Nursing Home/Hospital setting. Knowledge of Fire Safety Codes, NYS and Federal regulations for nursing homes. Strong administrative experience.

Requirements

Must possess experience as an Assistant Director of Environmental Services in a long-term care facility
Knowledge of Fire Safety Codes, NYS and Federal regulations for nursing homes.
Strong administrative experience.
Knowledge of NYS DOH LTC Survey Guidelines
Training in environmental and infection control practices
Must possess excellent communication skills and be a team player!

Responsibilities

Maintaining the facility in a clean, safe and comfortable manner while meeting all regulations and guidelines established by regulatory agencies.
Performs daily rounds and evaluates the performance of the staff.
Conducts inspection of resident rooms, residential areas, and common areas for sanitation, safety, etc.
Maintains time schedules, staff schedules, and ensures completion of documentation required.
Inspects and evaluates the physical condition of the building and coordinates with the Director of Maintenance.
Responsible for recruitment, training, and supervision of Housekeeping staff and conducting progressive disciplinary action as necessary.
Ensures proper safety and security of resident property including oversight of facility Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance services.
