About The Position

Our Wisconsin School of Business Undergraduate Employer Engagement Team is focused on supporting student career exploration and development through providing students the opportunity to connect directly with employers and alumni across a full spectrum of business Career Pathways. The Employer Engagement team works to build relationships with employers, students and alumni to guide our partners as they seek to successfully recruit and hire talent, and support the career exploration and development of our students. Additional responsibilities supporting the Undergraduate Program are also part of this role – including collaboration with internal and campus stakeholders including student organizations, MBA/Master’s career services and Industry Relations teams. Ideal candidates will exhibit excellent written and oral communication skills, strong customer service mindset, a desire to participate in a high-performing and collaborative team setting and competency in working effectively with students and staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of post-graduation professional work experience, preferably in sales/business development, customer success, higher education career services or corporate recruiting.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Relationship Consultant for industries and career pathways related to: the marketing/brand/product management, retail, consumer-packaged goods, supply chain and human resources.
  • Serve as the overall relationship manager for existing employer relationships to help develop and support engagement strategies that align with the individual recruiting and engagement goals of the organization.
  • Support portfolio growth through data-driven development of new industry and employer relationships to support student career interests.
  • Maintain ongoing, proactive communication with employers regarding identified recruiting/strategic goals and engagement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with career coaches, academic departments, student organizations, and other campus partners to facilitate engagement opportunities that meet employer needs across a variety of channels.
  • Field calls and emails from new and current employers about campus interviewing and events.
  • Leverage our Salesforce CRM to track employers, contacts, and engagement details that can be shared with stakeholders throughout campus.
  • Support industry and employer engagement in signature career events and experiences, including in-market treks and job shadow programs, case competitions, alumni networking, etc.
  • Support the Undergraduate Program on-campus recruiting program, consisting of visits to campus by industry partners for in-person interviews and events.
  • Consult with companies on campus recruiting specifics, including timelines, interview schedule details, and student promotion strategies.
  • Monitor student application volume for schedules and coordinate with relationship consultants/coaches to help employers yield a strong applicant pool.
  • Partner with the Events and Experiences team to provide employers with verbal and written information about the campus recruiting experience.
  • Attend and greet employers during campus events to establish and maintain stronger relationships.
  • Assess employer hiring outcomes and satisfaction annually.
  • Work closely with Career Pathway Consultants in assigned industries to support, promote, and execute employer engagements around career exploration, recruiting, brand-building and experiential learning.
  • Collaborate with student organizations to facilitate employer and alumni connections and career development programming focused in finance and real estate career pathways.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with internal partners in academic departments, Alumni Relations, Industry Relations, MBA/Masters Programs, and the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association to support holistic industry partnerships and engagement across the Wisconsin School of Business.
  • Participate in Wisconsin School of Business Undergraduate Program committees and project teams, collaborate with campus partners and engage with regional and national colleagues.
  • Participates in the campus-wide career services community providing input to leadership regarding the development of advising, recruitment, and co/curricular programs offered by the school/college.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for prospective employers, provides advice and information about recruitment, engagement, hiring students, and addresses their needs.
  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for on-campus recruiting activities.
  • Develops relationships and working knowledge of relevant industries.
  • Provides students with information about career planning and employment opportunities and/or coaches students through the recruiting process.
