About The Position

The Assistant Director of Dining Services will assist the Dining Room Manager in planning, organizing, directing, staffing, leading, controlling, and coordinating the dining room, bar, training staff, and inventory control for luxury senior living communities. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards of service and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent (GED).
• Experience in food service.
• Experience in supervising dining room staff.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English with good comprehension.
• Basic math skills required.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of restaurant service.
• Considerable knowledge of health, sanitation, and safety requirements.

Nice To Haves

• Spanish language proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling and supervising dining room waiters and waitresses.
• Assisting with orientation and training of new waiters and waitresses.
• Maintaining standards for safety, sanitation, and storage of food and banquet supplies.
• Interacting courteously and tactfully with managers, co-workers, customers, vendors, residents, and resident family members.
• Promoting and executing the company culture of “Yes”.
