About The Position

Assistant Director of Dining Services Location: Forest Hills Public Schools & Caledonia Community Schools This Assistant Director will report to our Directors of Dining Services and help oversee a team. This special position will have the opportunity to support two strong accounts including Forest Hills Public Schools & Caledonia Community Schools. Position Summary:As the Assistant Director of Dining Services, you will support the day-to-day management of food service operations within these high-volume K-12 environment. This role partners closely with the Directors to lead, develop, and engage a team of associates while ensuring high standards of service, safety, and operational excellence. Key responsibilities include supporting talent development, maintaining strong client and school relationships, driving operational efficiency, and contributing to financial performance and budget goals within the assigned area. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, team-oriented, and committed to delivering a high-quality dining experience for students and staff.

Requirements

1 to 3 years of food service management experience.
Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, healthcare, and/or related food service operations.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Financial experience and business acumen skills.
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree is preferred.
