This role provides overall administrative leadership for daily dialysis facility operations. The Assistant Director of Dialysis/Facility Admin is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating operational processes to support safe and efficient patient care. This includes establishing priorities and accountability for staff performance, participating in strategic planning, budgeting, and resource management, and identifying operational barriers and implementing corrective actions. The position also involves partnering with the Medical Director and interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and monitor the Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program, reviewing quality metrics, and ensuring action plans are developed and sustained when performance goals are not met. Promoting a patient-centered care environment focused on dignity, respect, and safety, ensuring patient rights are protected, and supporting patient education and adherence initiatives are key aspects of the role. Additionally, the Assistant Director is responsible for recruiting, retaining, training, and developing qualified dialysis personnel, ensuring staff meet required qualifications, conducting performance evaluations, and promoting teamwork and professional accountability. Financial management includes assisting with budget development and management, monitoring expenses, and identifying cost-effective improvements. Collaboration with the Medical Director and interdisciplinary team is crucial for clinical oversight and effective communication. Finally, the role ensures accurate and timely completion of required facility documentation and maintains records for regulatory compliance and operational oversight.
