Requirements
- Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience required.
- Valid California driver's license required.
- Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.
- Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures.
- Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a positive, flexible, and professional demeanor grounded in integrity.

- Comfortable soliciting donations through in-person conversations, email, and written correspondence, as well as making cold calls and traveling locally to cultivate relationships with prospective donors.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, databases, email, webpages, online graphic design tools, and social media.
- Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information.
- Employees who are required to operate motorized vehicles and/or use their personal vehicle more than once a month on University business are required to take a mandatory Defensive Driving course and enroll in the DMV Employee Pull Notice (EPN) Program.

- Higher Education and fundraising experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead, build and maintain a portfolio of donor prospects and solicit annual leadership and major gifts of $250,000+
- Write thank you letters, design and produce donor centric marketing collateral and publications (e.g., impact reports, proposals, case statements), including digital collateral (e.g., social media, website), and other relevant materials in support of fundraising initiatives.
- Coordinate cultivation and stewardship activities and board committee activities related to funding development.
