Under the direction of Associate Director of Marketing & Analytics, the Assistant Director of Data & Assessment plays a pivotal role in the UNC Career Center by leading data-informed decision-making, continuous improvements efforts, and measuring outcomes. This position is responsible for designing and implementing assessment strategies, managing data collection and analysis, developing clear data visualization tools, and providing actionable insights to enhance the effectiveness of the UNC Career Center’s programs, services, and initiatives. The Assistant Director will collaborate with all UNC Career Center staff, partner with distributed career teams across UNC, employers, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure UNC Career Center activities align with institutional goals and respond effectively to the needs of students, employers, and alumni. The Assistant Director will oversee the UNC Career Center assessment efforts, survey construction, and reporting efforts. This role will also lead the University’s First Destination Survey (FDS) efforts which includes collaborating with campus stakeholders (e.g., Registrar, Office of Institutional Research, etc.), partnering with career colleagues across campus, ensuring the comprehensive collection of career outcomes, developing data visualizations of student & employer data, upholding data security and data governance procedures, and assisting with storytelling efforts.
