About The Position

Focused Post Acute Care Partners (FPACP) is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join their team. The ADON, under the direction of the Director of Nursing, will assist in supervising nursing services and setting standards of care to ensure a professional, skilled program that addresses the medical, physical, emotional, and psychological needs of each resident. This role is responsible for fulfilling policies and objectives to ensure quality nursing care as set forth by the Administrator and facility standards. FPACP emphasizes a culture of excellence and has a recognition program called ROCKStar (Recognizing Outstanding Care and Kindness) to acknowledge team members.

Requirements

  • Current RN or LVN license
  • Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
  • Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents and other team members
  • Must be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting in excess of 150 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Manual dexterity required performing tasks in assisting residents with their personal needs
  • Must be able to safely ascend and descend stairwells and assist in an evacuation
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance in accordance with facility absence policies
  • Use appropriate work place behavior and adhere to dress code at all times
  • Complete assigned training on time and/or attend training classes when scheduled
  • Use tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations
  • Promote positive public relations with residents, family members, and guests
  • Utilize electronic medical record (Point Click Care) for charting
  • Ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising nursing services.
  • Set standards of care to ensure a professional, skilled program of care and treatment.
  • Ensure each resident receives care that accounts for their medical, physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
  • Fulfill policies and objectives ensuring quality nursing care.
  • Review all new admissions for accuracy and completeness.
  • Make daily rounds on the residents.
  • Coach and mentor licensed nurses.
  • Answer call lights in a timely manner.
  • Be alert to residents' comforts and needs and answer their requests promptly.
  • Lift, move, and transfer residents as required.
  • Safely utilize equipment and report any equipment needing service or repair immediately.
  • Participate in emergency fire or disaster drills and other in-service training as scheduled.
  • Assist in ensuring nursing personnel staffing schedules are prepared and posted to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained.
  • Assure attending physicians are given support by nursing personnel.
