The Meruelo Family Center for Career Development (“CCD”) prepares students for lifelong career readiness by guiding them to discern, pursue, and achieve career goals that align with their values, interests, and skills. The CCD aspires to unite the Notre Dame community to inspire and prepare every student to pursue a life of impact and purpose. The Assistant Director / Graduate Career Consultant plays a mission-critical role in the CCD. The Assistant Director / Graduate Career Consultant is accountable for ensuring that every graduate student enrolled in Professional Master’s Programs affiliated with The Graduate School is actively engaged in career development activities. This includes tracking engagement, strategically partnering with faculty and administrators, creating best-in-class resources, meeting with students, and implementing tailored programs. The broad portfolio of Professional Master’s Programs includes the ESTEEM program, Applied & Computational Math and Statistics (ACMS), the online M.S. in Data Science program, Master of Global Affairs, M.A. in Theology (the Echo program), and M.Ed. (the Alliance for Catholic Education program). The Assistant Director / Graduate Career Consultant provides career advising, guidance, and consulting to graduate students in Professional Master’s Programs pursuing any career path, including startups, consulting, project management, industry, tech, government, policy, international development, ministry, K-12 or higher education administration, and teaching. This includes supporting job/internship searches; reviewing resumes, CVs, and cover letters; and providing mock interviews. The Assistant Director / Graduate Career Consultant serves as a member of the Center for Career Development team through teamwork and collaboration across all department functional areas of the CCD.
