About The Position

The Assistant Director of Athletics for Administration and Operations provides senior-level administrative support to the Athletics department and coordinates key operational, compliance, financial, and departmental functions that support the mission of Augsburg Athletics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Three (3) years of professional administrative and operational experience.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities using sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Provide senior-level administrative support to the Athletic Director, including calendar and travel management, coordinating department administrative operations, and supporting departmental initiatives.
  • Administer approved corporate sponsorship agreements and maintain sponsorship records.
  • Coordinate A-Club communications.
  • Oversee administrative compliance of athletics camps, including youth protection, compliance with University policies and procedures, accurate and equitable camp payroll, and compliance records and documentation.
  • Assist with planning and executing home athletic events.
  • Serve as the primary manager of Athletics concessions and oversee its operations, including determining staffing levels, assigning personnel, coordinating vendors, evaluating service and financial performance, and implementing operational improvements within approved budgets and University policies.
  • Review and approve assigned purchasing-card transactions and timecard submissions within delegated authority.
  • Monitor purchasing card activity and payroll submissions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with the Business Office and Human Resources to resolve administrative and financial issues.
  • Other duties as apparent or assigned by supervisor.
