The Assistant Director of Annual Fund and Donor Engagement oversees two connected parts of the annual giving lifecycle: developing future donors, from students through recent alumni in years 1–4, including the 3L Class Gift; and stewarding current annual fund donors to support engagement, retention, and progression toward reunion and leadership annual giving. The role consolidates responsibility for the donor journey, creating a single point of accountability from a student’s first gift to long-term support. The position is programmatic and focuses on building systems and early donor relationships that can later feed into Law’s reunion and gift officer portfolios. It is distinct from those portfolio- and quota-driven roles. The successful candidate will create meaningful engagement experiences, use audience insights and donor data to guide strategy, and collaborate across Development, Alumni Relations, Student Affairs, and Communications. The annual base salary range is USD $77,000 to $85,000. NYU Law offers competitive benefits and perks, notably tuition remission. NYU describes its campus sustainability aim as becoming one of the greenest urban campuses in the country and reaching carbon neutrality by 2040.
