Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Valid NYS Driver’s License with driving record approved to drive for Brightway Living & Learning.
  • Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in an OPWDD Residential Program
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekend as necessary.
  • Must be willing to travel to various locations
  • Computer skills required (Microsoft 365)
  • Strong supervisory skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong knowledge of State, Federal, OPWDD, and Brightway Living & Learning policies preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all State, Federal, OPWDD, and Brightway policies.
  • Assist with development of POCA as it applies to recertification surveys.
  • Supervise Program Managers and staff across multiple locations.
  • Conducts hiring, firing, progressive discipline and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee staff schedules and attend IDT and Clinical meetings.
  • Train new coordinators and support staff, hands-on and formally, Provide annual recertification trainings.
  • Participate in continuing education for self, and ensure same for coordinators and staff.
  • Oversee implementation of Annual Program Plan, formal goals and protocols, Behavior Plans and all other components of the Annual Plan, ensure ongoing active treatment in conjunction with coordinators, and review clinical books on a semiannual basis.
  • Oversight of Environmental Checklists, Occurrences, and all budgetary processes.
  • Handle crisis situations according to Emergency Procedures, completes all required paperwork as determined by Supervisor.
  • Refers as appropriate to Division Director and/or QA Department.
  • Interface with parents and neighbors and ensure individuals are integrated into the community.
  • May require 24-hour on call duties.
  • Active participation in meetings as required by Director.
