About The Position

The Assistant Director of Admissions supports campus enrollment growth by managing recruitment activities, prospective student engagement, and enrollment systems. This position uses CRM and enrollment technologies to track, communicate with, and convert prospective students through the admissions process. The Assistant Director serves as a key representative of Ivy Tech Community College in building relationships with students, schools, community organizations, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Associate degree required.
  • Minimum of one to two years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects.
  • Must possess excellent "people" skills including working successfully with diverse populations, including (but not limited to) college and school personnel, teachers and prospective students.
  • Must possess skills and experience in public speaking.
  • Previous computer experience is necessary.
  • Must possess a willingness and an ability to travel and work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
  • Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome.

Responsibilities

  • Support and participate in on-campus and off-campus recruitment activities, including college fairs, high school visits, information sessions, and community events, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Recruit prospective students by promoting Ivy Tech programs, services, and opportunities to increase inquiries, applications, and enrollment conversions.
  • Manage and maintain prospective student data through the College's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, ensuring effective communication and follow-up throughout the enrollment process.
  • Generate, analyze, and interpret reports from IvyAnalytics and other enrollment systems to evaluate recruitment effectiveness, identify trends, assess conversion rates, and support data-informed decision-making.
  • Monitors assigned recruitment territories, schools, events, and student populations to increase enrollment and improve student engagement outcomes.
  • Utilize enrollment and recruitment data to identify opportunities, address recruitment gaps, and develop targeted outreach strategies.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with K-12 partners, community organizations, colleges, and other stakeholders to support enrollment goals.
  • Collaborate with campus departments and statewide partners to coordinate recruitment initiatives and student engagement efforts.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of admissions and recruitment communications and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with FERPA and maintain confidentiality of student information.
