About The Position

The Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented Assistant Director of Intake to join our Intake team. Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital, located near beautiful Myrtle Beach, SC, treats adolescents, adults and senior adults in need of psychiatric services, as well as adults who suffer from a chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, or are in need of rehabilitation. Lighthouse offers 24-hour admissions, needs assessment, and referral services. Under the direction of the Director of Admissions, the Assistant Director of Admissions provides direction for the Intake Admissions Department in the assigned area(s) in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the Hospital and within the framework of established policies and procedures of the Department of Intake and Admissions. The Assistant Director is responsible for the clinical leadership and coordination of patient flow and staff productivity in the Intake and Admissions department. As a key team member in the Intake and admissions area, the Assistant Director promotes a climate of effective performance through role modeling, willingness to learn and teach, and availability to patients and staff. Organizes, manages and coordinates nursing services and will assure quality.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nursing plus 2 years of hospital experience or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Preferred, plus 4 years of hospital experience required.
  • Current Registered Nurse license to practice nursing in South Carolina.
  • Current CPR or BLS certification.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Hospital, Intake/Admissions procedures, with demonstrated ability to use skills in clinical and managerial situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Management/leadership experience of a multiple disciplinary team preferred
  • Preferably experience working in and Intake/Admissions department in a Psychiatric hospital setting.
