About The Position

The Wisconsin School of Business is seeking an Assistant Director to join the MBA and Master’s admissions and recruitment team. This role plays a critical part in recruiting and enrolling high-quality candidates for graduate business programs at the Wisconsin School of Business. The Assistant Director will support all current and future MBA and Master’s programs. The Assistant Director will support the development, execution, and continuous management of an annual comprehensive recruitment plan aligned with enrollment goals. They will collaborate with the rest of the admissions and recruitment team to design, implement, and evaluate new recruitment tactics and engagement strategies. Analyzing recruitment and enrollment data to assess effectiveness, identify trends, and inform strategic adjustments is also a key part of the role. The Assistant Director will develop and maintain corporate, nonprofit, and community partnerships to support recruitment pipelines and brand awareness, and identify new opportunities that expand reach to prospective students and key audiences. They will serve as a representative of the programs to prospective students, partners, and stakeholders through consultations, recruitment fairs, webinars, and other events, and support prospective students throughout the admissions funnel, from inquiry through enrollment. Reading applications to various MBA and Master’s programs is also a responsibility. The Assistant Director will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders and may, over time, assume supervisory responsibility for student workers and/or full-time staff. The Assistant Director will also be responsible for helping the team reach their enrollment goals for all programs. The role requires flexibility, including the ability to travel and work flexible hours during evenings and weekends. The Assistant Director will be in a hybrid role with 3-4 days of work on campus, in the office.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in admissions, recruitment, sales and marketing, or higher education
  • Minimum 1 year of staff supervision
  • Bachelor’s Degree required

Responsibilities

  • Delivers directed admissions program messaging to internal and external audiences.
  • Identifies, promotes, and maintains internal and external partnerships focusing on outreach, recruitment, and admission.
  • Counsels prospective and admitted graduate students on educational planning and career opportunities.
  • Reviews, evaluates, and responds to student applications for admission to a graduate program according to established policies and procedures.
  • Identifies opportunities for and develops admissions and outreach events.
