About The Position

The Assistant Director for Athletics Technical Support directs, operates, and maintains the audio-visual systems located in the Barnhardt Student Activity Center and other Athletic Facilities. This role involves programming, operation, and troubleshooting of various systems including LED Video Systems, Scoreboards, Content Management Systems, Sound Systems, Lighting Systems, Projectors, and Meeting Space Technologies. The position also includes performing software and hardware troubleshooting and repairs, assisting with technical resource coordination during events, and training technical student staff.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree and one (1) year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a professional audio/visual or related field
Experience working in a college or professional sports environment.
Experience with technologies such as sound systems, scoreboards/video boards, lighting, and video equipment.

Responsibilities

Assists in the programming, operation, and troubleshooting of the systems located in the Student Activity Center/Halton Arena and other athletic facilities.
Performs troubleshooting and repairs to the software and hardware level on audio-visual systems and associated output devices.
Assists the Technical Director with coordination of technical resources during events.
Trains and evaluates technical student staff who are responsible for setup and operation of sound, video, and other technical equipment.
Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director for Broadcast Video and Technology.
