About The Position

The assistant director is integral to a team focused on advancing academic initiatives for undergraduate students in Newcomb-Tulane College. The assistant director provides strategic direction and oversight for the First-Year Seminar, a required component of Newcomb-Tulane College’s Core Curriculum and the primary intellectual gateway for undergraduate education. In managing the program, the assistant director supports faculty in delivering transformative first-year seminars and fostering curricular innovation across the College. This includes developing infrastructure and assessment strategies that advance the program’s goals and promote high-impact educational practices.
