About The Position

Hondo Independent School District, serving approximately 1,700 students across 4 schools, is looking for a hands-on Assistant Director of Dining Services to join its food service leadership team. Reporting directly to the Director of Dining Services, this role offers the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the operation, from supporting daily food service and leading a team of 13 frontline associates to building strong client relationships and helping achieve operational and financial goals. It's a great fit for someone who enjoys being out in the schools, working alongside their team, and making a difference every day. Requirements

1+ years of food service supervisory or lead experience.
Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Financial experience and business acumen skills.
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree is preferred.

Works with the Director and Frontline team in creating nutritious and top quality food.
Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams.
Maintains excellent relationships with the client.
Manages, trains, and develops associates.
