About The Position

If you are a compassionate leader who thrives on building strong teams and helping families navigate critical moments, our Assistant Director for Crisis Stabilization and Youth Residential position is for you! In this vital role, you will guide the day-to-day operations of our Residential Based Supported Community Living (RBSCL) and Crisis Stabilization Services. You will pour into our frontline professionals—including Crisis Stabilization and Family Peer Support teams—through consistent coaching, mentorship, and training. By building bridges with community partners and ensuring seamless, compliant service delivery, you will create a safe, structured space where clients and families can heal, grow, and build essential problem-solving skills for the future.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or four years’ experience in the human services field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • One year of experience providing direct care, preferably to people with disabilities in an independent living setting and supporting people who have positive brain development and health.
  • Desire to lead and support others.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats using appropriate grammar.
  • Ability to interact positively and professionally with clients, team members, guardians/parents, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and handle emergencies based on agency and program policies.
  • Access to a telephone.
  • Driving record that meets agency standards for insurability.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to obtain Medication Manager Certification within first 90 days of employment.
  • Efficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to learn and utilize agency databases.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and lift.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full range of leadership duties including, but not limited to, selection, onboarding, continual training, and development for Crisis Stabilization Professionals, Family Peer Support Professionals, and Direct Support Professionals (RBSCL).
  • Provide ongoing feedback, coaching, counseling, and performance management through observation and monthly meetings.
  • Build teamwork and agency alignment by facilitating, in conjunction with the department Director, team meetings to address all components of operations, including reviewing policy and procedure, reviewing department Balance Score Card and Agency Score Card.
  • Coordinate service delivery to ensure clients and families have an opportunity to maximize their treatment.
  • Ensure client activities are planned and coordinated to meet client needs.
  • Ensure client files are compliant according to funder and agency standards.
  • Provide support to programs when required, including after-hours on-call rotation.
  • Provide coverage for shifts as needed.
  • Assist in engaging community partners for referrals and partnerships.
  • Assist with developing and implementing activities that increase clients’ problem-solving skills.
  • Gain and maintain a working knowledge of potential community partners and resources for clients and families after discharge.
  • Administer medication as needed according to Medication Manager Certification and agency and program policy.
  • Ensure timely completion of all progress notes and documentation.
  • Complete ongoing follow-up for all Crisis Stabilization clients.
  • Attend meetings of and be an active member of the Operations Team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
