About The Position

In conjunction with the Program Director, this role is responsible for clinical program design and services. The Assistant Director will oversee case management services and provide direct supervision to clinical supervisors and other clinical team members. This position involves developing partnerships and collaborating with hospitals, treatment providers, shelters, transitional housing, and housing providers to service homeless individuals and help end their homelessness. Responsibilities include running clinical meetings, training staff on case management techniques and strategies for engagement and services for mentally ill and substance abusing individuals, and designing appropriate service plans. The role also includes sharing 24-hour on-call responsibility with the Program Director, with related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • LMSW required.
  • Ability to pass test to acquire 9.58 certification from DOHMH.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in direct services to the homeless, mentally ill and/or substance abusing populations.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Must understand issues related to homelessness.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and clinical skills.
  • Must have the ability to address multiple issues and challenges concurrently.
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • First Aid/CPR certification or the ability to pass test to acquire these credentials required.
