About The Position

Chartwells K12's goal is to make sure students leave the cafeteria happier and healthier than they came in, by serving food kids love to eat and creating custom dining programs. With more than 16,000 associates in 4,500 schools, ranging from large public institutions to small charter and private schools, Chartwells K12 is built on decades of food, education and operational experience driven by top culinary, nutrition, wellness, and sustainability talent. This role is ideal for a creative culinarian who enjoys being active in the kitchen while partnering closely with our Director of Dining Services, who is also a chef. You’ll report directly to the Director and have the opportunity to learn and grow by working alongside them day-to-day, while taking the lead on key culinary initiatives, supporting a team of 32 associates, and helping execute approximately 6–7 catering events each month. This opportunity also offers an excellent work-life balance, with a consistent Monday–Friday schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with only very limited needs outside those hours based on the business.
