About The Position

Dreamwear, a leading wholesale intimate apparel and sleepwear company, is seeking an Assistant Designer to support the Shapewear category. This role will assist the Senior Designer across various brands and customers, focusing on all aspects of design. The ideal candidate will be passionate about innovative fabric technology, have a strong sense of trends, and possess the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to maintain brand consistency. This position requires a proactive approach to managing sample development and production processes.

Responsibilities

• Research market trends, colors, prints, and silhouettes for seasonal direction.
• Send out tech packs, sample requests, production artwork, and color standards.
• Create organized and accurate technical development packages with construction details, sketches, fabrications, trims, print, and color information.
• Communicate with overseas factories regarding production.
• Assist with the trim and fabric library, color palettes, and flat sketching.
• Ensure correct artwork sizing and assist in color selection.
• Prepare production packages including color and trim specifications, and ready print and graphic artwork for production.
• Track and follow up on development and fabric sourcing.
