About The Position

The Ohio Attorney General's Office is seeking candidates with a passion for public service to fill an Assistant Deputy Director position in our Collections Enforcement Section. This position will work a hybrid in-person/remote schedule. There may be changes to this schedule based on training and operational needs. The headquarter location is 30 E Broad St. Columbus, OH. The successful candidate will perform supervisory duties while fostering a team environment.

Requirements

  • Completion of Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or related area or equivalent work experience
  • Previous supervisory or Team Lead experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications (e.g., Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a call center environment
  • Previous experience with reporting
  • Previous experience in a collections or legal environment

Responsibilities

  • Assists the Deputy Direct in defining goals and objectives for State Client portfolios and staff.
  • Develops policies and procedures.
  • Manages Debt Management (DM) and Columbia Ultimate Business Systems (CUBS) operations and problem resolution for State Client portfolio and staff.
  • Supervises and trains assigned staff.
  • Manages and provides guidance to lower-level supervisors and staff.
  • Assists Deputy Director in preparing financial and other requested reports.
  • Prepares information for Public Information Request and On Demand reports.
  • Recommends new procedures to enhance collections processing.
  • Handles sensitive contact with the general public, clients, and legal personnel.
  • Handles varied public relations duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
