As the Assistant Deli Manager, you will play a key role in helping customers make healthy food choices by providing excellent customer service and managing one of the busiest teams in the store. This role involves assisting the Deli Manager in overseeing department operations, including merchandising, ordering, inventory control, product quality, and team supervision. You will be responsible for coordinating production, merchandising, and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork. Additionally, you will help lead a team focused on delivering high-quality products, exceptional service, and a great customer experience, as well as assisting in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Deli team. You will also be involved in unloading and sorting store deliveries and operating and maintaining deli equipment, ensuring adherence to all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
