About The Position

Excelsior Village Academies, Inc. is a K-8 public charter school dedicated to rigorous academics, community-centered learning, and a positive school culture. We serve scholars across multiple Georgia counties and work every day to create a school environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. As Assistant Dean of Students, you will play an important role in helping maintain a strong, supportive student culture. This position is centered on student support, problem-solving, and partnership across the school community, helping scholars navigate challenges while reinforcing high expectations and a mission-driven approach to learning and growth.

Requirements

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in youth development.
Experience working with children in an elementary and middle school setting, or other experience working with kids.
Background in behavior support, school culture, or discipline work in a school setting, including experience with de-escalation and restorative practices.
Experience coordinating student-facing activities and events.
Strong communication skills with students, teachers, school leaders, and families.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Availability for occasional evenings.

Nice To Haves

Experience with behavior tracking systems.
Familiarity with PBIS.
Familiarity with MTSS.

Responsibilities

Support de-escalation and proactive solutions for scholars in elementary through middle school.
Facilitate and support the organization of school-wide events.
