That's WEIS! The Assistant Customer Experience Manager is responsible for promoting excellent customer relations by instilling positive customer-focused behavior with associates. This role involves greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving concerns promptly and professionally. The Assistant Customer Experience Manager focuses on continuous improvement in all areas of the department and makes changes to ensure progress. They assist the Customer Experience Manager in overseeing all aspects of front-end operations and may perform the duties of the Customer Experience Manager in their absence. In the absence of store management, this role may assume complete responsibility for total store operations. The position also involves enforcing cash handling control and security measures, adhering to company policies and state laws related to compliance, and overseeing bookkeeping procedures. The Assistant Customer Experience Manager assists Customer Experience Associates with various tasks, conducts unannounced audits on cashiers, and assists store management in onboarding and training new associates to provide a fast, friendly, accurate, and efficient checkout experience. They implement and communicate new programs, recognize and reward associate performance, participate in annual performance reviews, and utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) and auto-scheduler system. This role also controls supply costs, directs customer flow, monitors breaks and lunches, and oversees lot attendant services. The Assistant Customer Experience Manager operates front-end scanning equipment and registers, performs checkout procedures, answers phone calls, uses the intercom, maintains equipment functionality, and communicates information about promotions and sales. They are responsible for suggestive selling, participating in daily huddles, maintaining knowledge of weekly ads and promotions, and overseeing the safety and sanitation of the parking lot, entrance/exit, and checkout area. This includes keeping cart corrals and parking lots clean, maintaining general sanitation in the department, and following cleaning schedules. The role ensures smooth department and store function through cooperation, continuous improvement, and may assist with baling cardboard, receiving, unloading, checking-in, breaking-down, and storing deliveries if properly trained. Utilization of all company-provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. The Assistant Customer Experience Manager may also be called upon to assist in other departments.
