About The Position

The Culinary Services Assistant Director is responsible for providing an exceptional dining experience for our residents under the supervision of the Director of Culinary Services. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Large scale food production experience.
  • Strong desire to work with the elderly.

  • Food Safety Sanitation Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Manages the selection, training, development, and performance of assigned staff to retain a motivated and professional workforce.
  • Plans, coordinates, and conducts educational meetings for departmental staff.
  • Collaborates with the Dietitian and Director of Culinary Services regarding menu planning in accordance with nutritional and therapeutic needs of the residents.
  • Fills in when needed in the kitchen and dining area.
  • Orders food and kitchen supplies and works with approved vendors.
