About The Position

Clayton High School serves a diverse body of approximately 900 students. We believe that participation in athletics and extracurricular activities has a positive effect on student success. The Successful Candidate will assist the head coach with individual participants in the skills necessary for achievement in the activity, and in all aspects of the activity such as, but not limited to, practices and games. The candidate will also assist in the responsibility for the regulations under MSHSAA and Title IX, and in the maintenance and proper utilization of facilities. The role requires the ability to promote and maintain strong parental and community involvement, and to assist the head coach in selecting, assigning, and evaluating all activity personnel. Additionally, the candidate will help establish performance criteria for participation, maintain appropriate records, and be responsible for the safety, conduct, and general welfare of students. Maintaining high standards of student conduct, inventorying and maintaining equipment, preparing reports, representing the District on committees, maintaining regular attendance, and upholding confidentiality and integrity are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • One year of teaching and one year of coaching preferred
  • Working with school-aged children and background in education is strongly desired

  • Represent the District on the appropriate committee
