About The Position

The Youth Services Assistant Coordinator is responsible for delivering comprehensive administrative, logistical, and programmatic support to ensure the effective daily operations of an assigned youth center. This role is essential in supporting the organization’s mission to provide safe, engaging, and developmentally enriching environments for young people. The assistant coordinator will lead the planning and implementation of afterschool activities that align with the program’s core focus areas: culture, education, wellness, and citizenship. These activities are designed to promote personal growth, community engagement, and positive youth development.

Requirements

  • High School or GED; Some college preferred; and two (2) years of customer service or a related field
  • Must pass State & Federal Background checks
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
  • Must be insurable by the Comanche Nation’s insurance
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft software
  • Must be able to work shifting hours and weekends
  • Must be CPR & First Aid Certified or willing to get certification
  • Must have some knowledge of Comanche culture and/or history
  • Must be able to pass a drug test

Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain youth program reports, records, and official correspondence.
  • Assist the Lead Coordinator and Coordinator in assessing program needs and preparing drafts for official reports.
  • Record and manage participant data, including attendance, performance, and contact information; compile data for supervisory use and reporting.
  • Conduct outreach and needs assessments through surveys and interviews with participants, parents, and school staff.
  • Respond professionally to routine inquiries regarding program services and participant involvement.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with youth, families, school personnel, Tribal officials, and the broader community.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills, particularly in interactions with youth and young adults.
  • Perform general administrative and clerical tasks, including typing, filing, and operating standard office equipment (computers, phones, copiers, etc.).
  • Maintain flexibility with changing work hours and availability to travel and stay overnight for youth events as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Youth Services Director or Tribal Administrator.
