About The Position

The Assistant Client Concierge (ACC) plays a key role in delivering an exceptional client and guest experience while upholding the 828 brand. Working directly with clients, the ACC supports events from day-of execution through completion, ensuring a seamless and professional experience. Responsibilities may include front-of-house support, vendor and guest coordination, wedding ceremony rehearsals, décor installation and breakdown, and timeline execution. The ACC may also assist with administrative duties such as maintaining venue trackers, supporting booked client deliverables, and managing social media content. This is a part-time position with the potential to increase hours and responsibilities based on event volume and venue performance. UNION is part of the 828 Venue Management Company portfolio. The Assistant Client Concierge reports to the venue’s Client Concierge and supports the execution of venue packages and service workflows.

Requirements

  • Event venue or event coordination experience preferred
  • Ability to crowd control, and regularly mediate stressful situations, often involving intoxicated guests
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Availability on evenings, weekends, and Wednesdays (team office day) required
  • Passion for building a great team and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Google Applications knowledge
  • Embraces new technologies and softwares
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems with immediate resources, multi-task and delegate
  • Must have reliable transportation, cell phone and working computer
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must wear black, or approved business casual, clothing during events
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Appropriate and up-to-date local alcohol certification(s) required

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and/or execute venue services such as decor, photo booth, and any other additional venue features; manage and set up appropriate services on event day
  • Venue representative on event day for clients, vendors and their guests
  • Work directly with clients, vendors and guests on event day to address venue-related questions or concerns to ensure customer satisfaction and prompt problem resolution
  • Knowledgeable in venue services, operations, and contract terms to ensure event success
  • Onsite for events from load-in until scheduled time of departure
  • Host rehearsals with clients
  • Review and complete detailed event specific BEOs for Event Manager
  • Ensure venue cleanliness prior to and post events
  • Create and compile digital media and document on social media outlets
  • Complete ad hoc requests from Client Concierge and/or other venue team members surrounding administrative, marketing and property needs
  • Review detailed timelines of applicable client events (rehearsal, event day, load out)
  • Review event diagrams, including off-site ceremonies
  • On-site representing client and venue from rental start time, until load out completion
  • Remain knowledgeable of industry trends, local laws, and competition
  • Check-in, manage, and check-out vendors onsite
  • Host and run ceremonies, both on and off property
  • Receive client rental orders on day of
