About The Position

The Assistant Coordinator for Project SCOPE will assist in supervising the daily operation of the District-wide Project SCOPE program. This role involves managing human resources, scheduling staff, developing and providing staff development, maintaining accurate records and databases, and interacting with parents and the community. The position requires a commitment to the School District's mission and collaboration to support a high-quality program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Related Field preferred
  • Prefer experience working successfully with elementary and special education students
  • Must have excellent record-keeping and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively use a Mac computer and other office technology
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills and personal characteristics necessary for effective collaboration with families, school staff, and the community
  • Demonstrate confidence and the ability to maintain a professional attitude
  • Knowledgeable and understands student information privacy rights
  • Supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising the daily operation of the District-wide Project SCOPE program
  • Help employ and evaluate the human resources necessary to operate the program
  • Assist in scheduling subs for staff in the absence of the Absence Manager
  • Participate in training relating to professional growth
  • Develop and provide staff development activities to meet the needs of the staff
  • Work in a collaborative role with District staff
  • Develop and maintain accurate records, databases, and performance measures for monitoring both staff and the overall program
  • Maintain files of confidential information
  • Audit payments made to the program for each elementary site you are assigned to
  • Visit and monitor Project SCOPE sites in the elementary schools
  • Have contact with parents regarding payments, behavioral issues, and other miscellaneous matters
  • Organizing, distributing, and transmitting correspondence and materials as required
  • Maintain knowledge of current practices as related to elementary-aged students and the Project SCOPE program
  • Be committed to the School District’s mission
  • Collaborate with others in developing partnerships that support a high-quality program for the district and the community
  • Offer information and resource materials in community-based opportunities such as public meetings and health fairs
  • Other duties as assigned
